Focus
ICOH initiated the SC to focus on workers who are the first people in society to be exposed to the potential hazards of nanotechnology. 

Aims
1) Need to learn the extent of implementation of precautionary nanotechnology guidance worldwide, so that in places where there is poor compliance, measures can be taken to increase the awareness, acceptance, and utilization of the guidance;
2) Need to develop and disseminate information on precautionary approaches to protect nanotechnology workers in start-up companies.
